As an Admin Assistant within the Northamptonshire Children’s Trust Localities Business Support Team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting frontline services that directly impact children, families, and the wider community.

You will be based primarily at Blackthorn Children’s Centre, with the flexibility to cover other sites when necessary. Your working week would be Monday-Thursday 9-5 and Friday 9-4.30.

What will you be doing?
In this role, you’ll be the welcoming face of our Children’s Services location, providing professional and courteous reception support to visitors, families, and partners.
Greeting and assisting visitors, offering a warm, professional front-of-house experience.
Providing administrative support to the Strengthening Families teams, ensuring colleagues can focus on their work with children and families.
Co‑ordinate meeting rooms and events, from managing bookings to making sure rooms are set up and ready to go.
You will oversee the ordering and distribution of office supplies, helping to keep the service running smoothly.
Responding promptly and effectively to queries from staff and visitors, signposting people to the right professionals.
Working closely with other administrators you will ensure seamless, consistent support across the Children’s Services teams.

About you

You are confident communicating with a wide range of people, both in person and across different channels.
You are customer‑focused, with experience of working or volunteering in a role where people are at the heart of what you do.
You are organised and detail‑focused, able to manage tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
IT competent, you use digital tools confidently to support your work.
You work well in a changing, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to new needs and priorities.
You are able to travel easily between locations when needed.
You should have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English and be ready to demonstrate your commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s wellbeing.
