Administrator - Youth Offending Services

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the successful, multi-agency Northamptonshire Youth Offending Service, aiming to reduce reoffending by working with young people, their families and victims.

Based at our Northampton and Kettering office you will be supporting a countywide admin service.   You will be the first point of contact for young people, their families, practitioners and professional staff and ideally you will have previous experience of working in a customer led environment, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. The ideal candidate will be flexible to take on a variety of tasks, including note-taking, whilst communicating confidently and effectively.

Hours are full time (37) - (Northampton Office) Monday - Thursday 9.00 am – 5.30 pm & Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.   (Kettering Office) Wednesday 9.00 am – 5.30 pm. Some Working From Home on a rota, once induction / training is complete. We are looking for someone who can be flexible to meet the needs of the business. 

About you

  • You will be self-motivated, organised who delivers professional support for Practitioners and the Management Team. Accuracy, attention to detail and use of initiative is required when raising and processing invoices, minuting meetings, correspondence and diary management.  
  • You must have a confident working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet), experience of using computerised systems although training will be given.  

You are able to prioritise workloads, whilst achieving deadlines, in a highly performing and changing environment.  An understanding of confidentiality and data protection is imperative.   You can demonstrate an ability to learn quickly and make a positive contribution to our team.
