About the role

An exciting opportunity has opened in the Duty and Assessment Team based at the Angel Square Northampton

We are looking to recruit one Family Support Worker to be part of a Duty & Assessment Team.

This is a great opportunity for a person with experience of working within children and families, or for someone with the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn and develop skills in  the field of social work.

What will you be doing?

You will be based within a social work team alongside Advanced Practitioner & Social workers including ASYE.  Your responsibilities will include undertaking assessment such as Graded Care Profile, Risk assessment, supervising family time,  direct work with children, planning interventions to support around parenting, behaviour management and engaging with young people to ensure they voices are heard.

The Family Support Worker may at times provide focussed urgent family support to children and families with complex needs.

We are looking for people who are highly motivated and can work both independently and as part of a team. You will carry out a broad range of tasks deemed appropriate for the FSW grade, and whilst an ability to work independently is required all of your work will have oversight from a qualified Social Worker.

About you

The role will be based at Angel Square Northampton with some remote working,  and the right candidate needs to have access to a vehicle.
