About the role

Do you have the skills and experience to engage and build positive trusting relationships with parents, children and young people to inspire them to make positive changes and improve life opportunities?  

As Children’s Services are improving, exciting new opportunities have opened in the Children in Care Service based in the Northampton area.  We are looking to recruit a Family Support Worker to be part of the team building meaningful relationships with children and their families helping them grow, prosper and achieve. The primary focus of work will be with children and families who have no recourse to public funds and from time to time you may be required to undertake some work with UASC children in care.  The role will be based in Corby but you will be required to move effectively across the county and beyond if required.

About you

  • You are self-motivated and have the ability and skills to provide key pieces of direct work to children and families and to work with multi agency colleagues.
  • You are enthusiastic, highly motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team and have experience of working directly with families and children.  
  • You are able to support with assessment-based work and have good recording skills.
