Family Support Worker

About the role

Family Support Workers would provide focussed family support to children and families with complex needs, many of whom are either on Child in Need or Child Protection Plans or part of an assessment process in the Safeguarding Team. The successful candidates will work with the whole family to improve parenting capacity, undertaking direct work with children and providing support for families to increase their skills, confidence and abilities of all family members to live their daily lives in a positive and safe way.

About you

We are looking for people who are highly motivated and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a busy Team.  The role will be based in a Children in Care Team that focus on children who are in Care Proceedings.  We are based in Northampton and cover Northampton Town, West and South Northants.  However, staff will be required to move effectively across the County and possibly beyond.  The successful candidate will need experience in supporting families.
