About the role
Are you looking for a flexible job that fits around your family or studying and where you can make a real difference to the lives of young people?
A family feel environment working alongside a great team all working to improve the outcomes of our young people. Welford House is a seven bedded residential home, housing children (up to the age of 18 years), whose emotional and behavioural difficulties are such that they are unable to live within their own or a substitute family setting; and who require an environment in which they can come to terms with their past, in order that they may have a bright future.
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and experienced person to join our staff team of Night Care Supervisors.
- Assisting day staff in settling children at bedtime and waking them for school.
- Dealing with children who wake in the night, who may be frightened or whose behaviour may be challenging and helping them to settle.
- Maintaining accurate notes in the homes log’s and writing incident reports as required
- Undertaking a range of light duties such as setting table, emptying dishwasher, washing tea towels.
- You will work alongside a sleep-in member of the team sharing responsibility.
Night Wake Supervisors work on a rota basis, with 2 nights on duty 22:00-08:00 and 4 nights off (including weekends and Bank Holidays).
Please note that annual pay will be pro-rata, the hourly rate is £10.66-10.91 and on top of this enhancements are paid for unsocial hours, Sundays and Bank holidays. There are also opportunities to pick up additional shifts if you want to earn more.
Although previous experience within a similar setting and qualifications would be beneficial, it is not essential as we provide all the training required to help our employees have the best start in their career. If you demonstrate a willingness to learn we will give you the tools you need to succeed.
