We're thrilled to announce an opportunity for an adept individual to step into the role of Senior Practitioner within Family Solutions. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the expansion of an innovative service within our Trust.

Who are we?

Family Solutions is a specialised service aimed at supporting children and young people aged 0-19 who are deemed to be "on the edge of care". Our team, comprised of Intensive Support Practitioners, is dedicated to coordinating preventative, and intensive interventions for children and young people with complex needs and their whole family and networks, ultimately aiming to prevent them from entering care or facilitating their reunification.

 

What will you be doing?

Lead and supervise a team of practitioners, overseeing their caseloads and ensuring the delivery of high-level interventions.

Ensure prompt service delivery to safeguard children and provide necessary support.

Provide professional leadership and support to ensure the team adheres to safe practices and manages workloads effectively within agreed standards and timeframes.

Collaborate effectively with partners to deliver bespoke and evidence informed support to families and other professionals, brokering long term and sustainable change.

Implement services that are responsive to the voices and experiences of children, to enhance outcomes across various needs.

About you

You have a Minimum level 5 Qualification in Targeted Support/Early Help, Social Work, Education, Relevant Health Discipline.

You have a deep understanding of the complex issues faced by children and young people at the edge of care, and what works to create and maintain safe, stable and sustained outcomes.

You have proven experience in supervising or supporting staff to deliver whole family interventions.

You have extensive, hands-on experience in preventative work with children and families facing escalating needs, with demonstrated ability to assess risks, safeguard, and intervene effectively.

You will be based out of the nearest Children's Centre to your home address and will need to be able to travel effectively across the county. 

The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance

About us
