Business Support Administrator - Duty and Assessment

Join Northamptonshire Children's Trust's Duty and Assessment Safeguarding Business Support Team and play a vital role in supporting social workers to deliver timely and effective services to those who need them most. 

Working within a team of six and supporting a wider service of around 60 colleagues, you'll provide essential business support in a fast-paced environment where your organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to build strong working relationships will be highly valued. 

The role is office based and the hours are Monday to Thursday 09:00-17:30 and Friday 09:00-17:00.

What will you be doing?

 This is a varied role where no two days are the same. One day you may be arranging emergency support for a family, such as sourcing a baby seat or organising food vouchers, and the next you'll be coordinating multi-agency meetings involving colleagues from Police, Health, Youth Offending and Crime Reduction services.  

Supporting with a wide range of situations that occur in a young person’s life from the age of 0-27 years. 

Providing a comprehensive, confidential range of effective administrative support, including finance related tasks 

You will minute daily front line safeguarding multi-agency discussions; meeting deadlines and ensuring correct and accurate records are on our database.

About you

   We are looking for someone who will enjoy networking with multi agency professionals and is solution-focused, with experience in business support.  

•    You’re used to working in a fast-paced sensitive environment, able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage a high-volume workload. Work independently as well as within a team. 

•    With strong literacy and numeracy skills, you consistently apply excellent attention to detail. 

•    Proficiency across Microsoft applications—including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams allows you to work efficiently and professionally. 

•    Clear and effective communication comes naturally to you, enabling you to build positive relationships with colleagues and partners. 

•    You will have proven experience in minute-taking, and touch-typing skills would be advantageous as this forms a key part of the role.
