About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Child Protection Meeting Administrator to join our Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Team. This role is crucial in providing first-class, confidential, and proactive support to Senior Managers and the wider team, ensuring that our service operates efficiently and effectively to improve the experience and outcomes for our children and young people.
We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, and highly organised individual with experience in minute-taking. The successful candidate will be able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with internal colleagues at all levels, as well as with external partners.
The ideal candidate will be a quick thinker, a collaborative team member, and adaptable to changing priorities on a daily basis. They must work with the utmost discretion and be a confident communicator. This is a fast-paced, demanding, and varied role, but also extremely rewarding.
This is a fixed term 18 months opportnity, 22.20 hours per week, working days Monday, Thursday & Friday (7.4 hours per day).
You will be based at either One Angel Square, Northampton, or William Knibb, Kettering. County wide travel is an essential part of the role, with meetings taking place at various locations.

What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Safeguarding and Welfare: Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in the care of the service. This includes undertaking regular Child Protection training at a level commensurate with the role.
• Minute Taking: Attend various locations across Northamptonshire to take minutes of statutory Child Protection Conferences. Prior experience in minute-taking during high-level, complex conferences or meetings is desirable. Strong organisational skills, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize and work independently to meet strict deadlines are essential.
• Communication: Acknowledge and respond to queries received through various contact points, accurately logging information and alerting relevant staff and managers as needed.
• Meeting Management: Manage meetings, including coordinating, liaising with external providers when necessary, and circulating relevant papers.
• Team Support: Support the team and the wider Business Support Service to ensure continuity of service delivery. Work flexibly to meet competing needs and demands.
• Record Keeping: Ensure that all electronic records related to Child Protection Conferences are accurate and up to date.
• Proactive Support: Provide proactive support to Child Protection Chairs.
• Liaison: Collaborate with Social Worker teams, external agencies, and representatives regarding clerical and administrative procedures for the service.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure continuity of support for Children's Services. Undertake additional tasks as appropriate to the role to meet business needs.
