An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Human Resources team, within Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. You will be joining our small team of HR professionals, who have a variety of experience and CIPD/Industry recognised qualifications.  We are a mutually supportive team, helping to contribute towards the NCT’s journey in delivering sustainable improvements to the lives of children, whilst looking after the people we employ and creating an organisation that all of our colleagues can be proud to work for.   

This will be a busy and varied role with responsibility for managing our inbox for Health and Safety along with our shared inbox for HR.

What will you be doing?

  The main priorities for the role are: 

  • Provide an initial contact point on a wide range of Health and Safety and HR  issues, referred by other colleagues or customers.  
  • Refer non-standard queries to either the HR Advisory Team or for specialist   Health and Safety advice 
  • General Administrative support for HR and Health and Safety  
  • Regular review of our Health and Safety reporting system including supporting regular data reporting for senior managers to review

About you

 You will need to be: 

  • Well-organised and able to deal with multiple priorities 
  • A good communicator with the confidence to liaise with managers and employees throughout NCT as well as with our external partners.  
  • Resilient, with attention to detail and a can-do attitude 
  • Proficient in general computer use and Microsoft packages  
  • Previous experience of working within a HR / Health and Safety or similar environment is advantageous but not essential.
