About the role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced fostering manager to become the registered manager of our independent fostering agency leading and developing the IFA through innovative practice. NCT IFA sits within Northamptonshire Children’s Trust (NCT).

 

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for leading and motivating the Fostering Service in delivering a high-quality service to our cared for children and the foster carers who look after them. Your focus will be on ensuring all children are well supported to maximise their life chances through the recruitment, training and support to skilled and knowledgeable foster carers.. This is a key operational and strategic management role and an essential part of our improvement journey.

Driving high performance and high quality practice, this is a position where you can be extremely innovative and creative and work closely in partnership with the workforce, our foster carers and key stakeholders to take forward new ideas and continually develop the service.

This role is pivotal to leading an IFA on an improvement journey to achieve outstanding services alongside the already established strong and stable leadership team here at NCT.

About you

This is a great career opportunity for an experienced manager with a good understanding of and background in children’s social care. You will be a strong and dynamic leader with proven success in inspiring and motivating others to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of services.

You will need a good knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation, guidance and Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) which governs Children's Social Care and Fostering Services and will ideally have leadership experience within an independent fostering agency having led services through regulatory inspections.

You will hold children at the centre of your practice when developing fostering services to achieve the best outcomes for children, whilst also developing staff to be awesome practitioners.

Your strategic mindset will assist you in identifying ongoing improvements and implement changes across several teams and drive and sustain high performance across a large service. You will have experience in change management

Possessing strong management and coaching skills, you will thrive in an environment where you are able to use your creative talents and make a genuine difference to service delivery and the workforce.
